A Spring Tradition at the Farm

In spring, as the farm starts to wake up, we will host a day we are most excited for.

Cassell Hollow Farm Dahlia Day is our annual on-farm dahila tuber pickup event, held on the last Saturday in April. It marks the start of dahlia season here and is our way of welcoming you to the farm after a long winter.

For 2026, Dahlia Day will take place on:

Saturday, April 25th, 2026, from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm

Whether you’ve already placed a tuber order or are just discovering us, you are welcome here.

Picking Up Your Dahlia Order

If you pre-ordered dahlia tubers for on-farm pickup, this is your day to come out and collect your order.

When you arrive, you will be directed to our pickup area, where orders will be organized alphabetically by last name. We will have someone to help you find your order quickly and answer any questions you might have.

Each order will include a thank-you card with a QR code that links directly to our free dahlia planting and care guides. We want you to have everything you need once you get home.

We’ve designed the pickup process to be simple and smooth, so you can spend less time in line and more time enjoying your visit.

More Than a Pickup

While you are here, we invite you to stay awhile.

We’ll have a small, cozy setup on the farm with a drink station, a place to sit, and a few thoughtful extras available to shop. Think spring bouquets, seeds, rooted and ready dahlia plants, Fresh ’til Death products, hazelnut and other rooted shrubs, and mystery dahlia tuber bundles.

This will also be the kickoff to our Adopt-a-Dahlia season, and those coming to Dahlia Day get first dibs!

This day is meant to feel relaxed and welcoming, not rushed.

Open to the Public

You do not need to have a pre-order to attend Dahlia Day.

This event is open to anyone who would like to visit the farm, enjoy a spring day, and shop for our spring offerings.

Dahlia tubers are still available, so if you are considering planting these beauties in your garden, there is still time to shop on our website to have them ready for pickup on Dahlia Day.

If you’ve been curious about growing dahlias or just want a reason to get out and enjoy the start of the season, we would love to have you here.

Limited Tubers Available for Purchase on Dahlia Day

We will have a limited selection of this year’s remaining dahlia tubers available for purchase, as well as some mystery bundles (yes, there will be unicorns hiding amongst the bundles).

These tubers will be sold in person only on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

Some varieties may not have been listed online, and once they are gone, they will not be restocked for the season.

If you are hoping to shop tubers, we recommend arriving early for the best selection.

Plan Your Visit

Dahlia Day will take place outdoors here at Cassell Hollow Farm in La Farge, WI. Parking and directional signage will be available when you arrive. In the event of rain, we will be set up under cover in our high tunnel.
